This Burlington Northern U36B, powered and dummy pair of diesels was manufactured by Lionel in 1976. Both units feature die-cast, four-wheel trucks, with metal rails and a stamped metal chassis. The powered unit features a powerful Pullmor motor with traction tires, and interior lighting. The multi-colored prototypical Burlington Northern graphics have remained very popular over the past 37+ years making these units very desirable, while at the same time being hard to find.

The powered unit is in "Like New" condition (TCA, LCCA standards), the only flaw being that there are some very, very light marks on the wheels from some very light use. Everything else about this unit is "Mint/Factory Fresh".

The dummy unit is "Mint" (never been on the tracks or displayed).

There are absolutely NO marks, or scratches of any kind and the units have been thoroughly inspected to insure there are NO "screw cracks" or "side-scratches" where the side rails sometimes come in contact with the plastic cab. Virtually everyone else would list these units as "Mint" - they're that good! And now, nearly 37+ years after their release - it is almost impossible to find a pair as nice as these. You will not be disappointed.

The pair was issued in matching red Lionel boxes. Those boxes come with the diesels and are in like new condition with scuff marks and nicks commensurate with their age, as the only significant flaws.
