This Rio Grande F-3 "dummy" B-unit was manufactured by Lionel in 1974. It was an un-catalogued, end of year "add-on" to the Rio Grande F-3 AA pair made earlier in the year as part of the #6-1450 D&RGW Service Station Set. This piece is nearly 40 years old and is in “Factory Fresh”/Mint condition (i.e. never been on the track or displayed; no scratches nicks or screw cracks). The unit was offered for sale "un-boxed" in 1974 by Lionel Service Stations, but is sold here with a Lionel box from that era. That box, shown in the photo, is in Like New condition.
