This Santa Fe, two tier, enclosed style auto carrier was manufactured by Lionel in 1994. It features "screened sides" and sliding, opening/closing double doors at both ends. The car has ASF strong arm trucks with metal wheels & axles, and magnetic operating knuckle couplers at both ends. This car is in "factory fresh" condition (i.e. "Mint", "brand new", "never been on the tracks or displayed"). The car was issued in an orange & blue Lionel windowed box; and while that box comes with this car its condition is “not too good”. While completely intact (end flaps and cellophane window) it shows water damage from stem to stern. We cannot figure how this absolutely perfect car was stored in such a bad box. In short, buy this car for the car (we repeat – it is a “10”) and not for its box (which is a “2”). Our price has been reduced accordingly. |
