This Amtrak Work Train Set was manufactured by Lionel in 1991, It is a "Ready to Run" boxed set, with an extended “Figure–8” of O-27 track and a 40-watt power system. Headed by an Amtrak RS-3 diesel that features dual maintenance-free motors, eight-wheel drive, operating horn, dual operating headlight, operating knuckle couplers and forward-neutral-reverse operation; the set also contains 5 freight cars, each with operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.
